"I have used Amanda Berks, No Tricks Just Treats, for dog training over the last 4 years. I have three dogs and have attended her classes as well as One on One. She is just amazing! The dogs all respond to her and her techniques, and she uses many to get to the heart of each dog. Amanda is upbeat, trustworthy and above all kind with the dogs. Her skill is tremendous, and I have had some problem dogs! Of course Amanda teaches the "owner", which is key in having the dogs respond in a positive manner. I have also used Amanda for dogsitting and again, trustworthy with utmost respect for your home and dogs. They were well cared for. I would be happy to speak to any prospective clients."
"Amanda has been helping me with all my pets for years now. She's a wonderful, loving and very knowledgeable trainer who turned around my house breaking problem! She has also taught my two dogs many tricks, which is really fun. We love Amanda! Even my bird calls out for her when she comes by for a lesson!"
I had the pleasure of meeting Amanda when I took my pup to her kindergarten class.....it had been a long time since I had a puppy, and training understanding and methods had changed radically since then. I read enough books to confuse myself totally....I also had doubts about my puppy's personality as he seemed both a little shy in new situations, and dominant in some of his play...big concerns as I hoped to train him as a therapy dog....Amanda's reassurance and emphasis on positive training brought my dog along beautifully......doing our 'homework', my pup has developed into a wonderful, responsive, affectionate pup and has been evaluated by a Therapy Dog evaluator as an excellent candidate... particularly noting how well he was trained. I am very grateful to Amanda for my pups great start, and her support and suggestions to me as a slightly nervous, inexperienced trainer......Amanda's constant enthusiasm, her knowledge and support is a wonderful boon to any puppy, dog or trainer.
"Amanda Berk attended a formal dog-training program at The Center For Applied Animal Behavior And Canine Training Inc. The course was six days per week, eight hours or more per day and was eight weeks in duration. Also during that period, Amanda sat in on my Applied Animal Behavior course at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry NY. Amanda while not formally enrolled in the course through the college did take every exam and receive an A as her final grade.
Amanda Berk has the initiative and dedication to become a top trainer in the United States, as she is always interested in learning more information in her field of expertise. Dog training is a practice and Amanda is more than willing to give it her all. I found her motivation to be untiring.
I would recommend that she be considered as a trainer for anyone looking to hire an open minded individual who has a great thirst for knowledge as well as an honest and caring heart.

"For six months Amanda did an exceptional job caring for our four dogs. This is quite a task as they are terriers with unique personalities and quirks. Despite the challenge, Amanda came each and every day with a positive attitude and enthusiasm that the dogs perceived. It was clear within a few weeks she had won their hearts.
Amanda is also very knowledgeable about training and good health for dogs. She shared her extensive knowledge and experience most generously, helping with one of our dog's allergies and another dog's lack on focus and concentration.
In summary, Amanda is trusting, reliable, passionate and most gifted with animals. She is upbeat, friendly and very responsible. "
"The most interesting as part of the lessons was how quickly our pet would understand/bond w/Amanda"
"I have had the pleasure of knowing Amanda Berk for fourteen years. During this time I have watched as Amanda has taken her love of animals and made it into a career. She has a gift of understanding and communicating with a variety of animals. Her vibrant personality makes her a pleasure to be around.
Amanda has taken care of my 2 dogs on many occasions. She is very serious about her work and my family is assured that they are in the most capable hands when we are away. Her dedication to the total well being of the dogs is evident in everything she does.
My family's experience with Amanda Berk has been nothing but positive and I would highly recommend her services."
"This letter is in support of Ms. Amanda Berk. Ms. Berk was a volunteer at the Second Chance Center for Animals during September of 2005 thru December of 2005. In that time period, she volunteered for 131 hours of service. I donít know Ms. Berk, due to the fact that I started this job in February of 2006. However, I can state that 131 volunteers hours in a 4 month period is extraordinary. The requested amount of volunteer hours for such a time period is approximately 32 hours. Ms. Berk obviously greatly exceeded the normal request for volunteer hours per month which is 8 hours.
I would like to state that Amanda Berk greatly exceeded what was requested of her, in regards to a time commitment, and Second Chance is proud to have had her as a volunteer."
